Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications of the United Arab Emirates, summarized the importance of artificial intelligence very nicely at a discussion event at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos: “If you use AI you are complete, if you don’t you are finished.”
While AI may have felt like short-term hype last year – Second Life would perhaps be one example from the past – numerous practical use cases in recent months have made it abundantly clear what impact AI can have on everyday working and private life. Be it in the area of coding, customer service or R&D at pharmaceutical companies – numerous examples prove the benefits. American AI-related services revenues, for example, are also developing accordingly, with PAC forecasting a CAGR of 27% for the period 23/27.
AI seems to have taken the step from perhaps only short-term hype to driver of innovation and perhaps even enabler and accelerator of the next industrial / digital revolution – here to stay.
